He’s adorable, and I loved how enthusiastic he was to get to his cake. It’s surprising to know that most kids don’t do this at their cake smash photo shoot. They are usually timid, and most don’t want to have anything to do with the cake.

Twelve Months Old
That first birthday is always a huge milestone for everyone, but especially the parents. It is a huge year for changes and development. Not only did your life completely change when they are born, but they changed more in that year than they ever will forever more after that. It was so fun for me to see this cute little girl grow from newborn to this happy, joyful one year old learning to walk on her own.
Here she is as a newborn, at 6 months, and at one year old.
Sweet little C was the happiest I've ever seen her at her one year old photo session. What a charmer she is with those huge smiles, and huge personality.

One Year Old Times Two | Thousand Oaks Children's Photographer
There are lots of twins in my family. My uncles are twins, and two of my cousins have twins, one of them even has 2 sets. Each time I was expecting I wondered what it would be like to have twins. One is hard enough, but two at the same time? That sounds daunting.
This dad is a single parent to the most adorable one year olds. He is so sweet with them, and as you can see they are incredibly happy. So, not only does he have twins, but he's doing it all by himself (with a little help from Grandma when they are in town). We had a great morning together. What a joy they are.

First Time at the Beach
I've had the privilege of watching her grow from just a newborn to a beautiful one year old little girl. It never gets old watching the sweet little ones I photograph toddle around on their uncertain legs as they just learn to walk.
This was also her first time at the beach so the sand, water, and sea weed were all new discoveries for her. What a joy!
