Forever and Ever
Bundle of Joy
Sweet baby Emma is only 2 weeks old here. Born weighing in at over 9 pounds she’s a healthy, feisty little bundle of joy. I admit I’m a little jealous of that full head of beautiful hair, and her big beautiful eyes captivated me. Her parents are head over heals in love with her for good reason. I loved having her in the studio last month. My job is the best job ever!

Love Runs the Whole Universe
Family is everything. I came across this quote while I was reading one day, and it stopped me in my tracks.
"Love really is the big deal everyone makes it out to be,... It's EVERYTHING, love is. It runs the whole universe." - Maddie Dawson
I loved that quote so much I put it on my website. The session below is with a family I've known for a long time. This was the last night they were together before the youngest was going away on a 2 year mission in Mexico. Emotions were high. It's so hard to say goodbye for such a long time. I couldn't help but put myself in Teri's shoes. What would it feel like to send my son off for 2 years? You know he's going to be helping people the whole time, so it's a good thing, but at the same time you just want to hold him close.
Since then I've heard lots of reports that Josh is doing well, and is so happy serving the people in Mexico. So while this family sacrifices two years with Josh, they are giving the gift of love to the people who he meets. Love really does run the whole universe, and if it doesn't - it should!

The Center of Our Lives - Family
My job might seem frivolous, or unnecessary in a busy world of so much to do. Getting your family portraits is so easy to put off. There are a million things you need to take care of all the time, and it just seems like a hassle. I get it! Life is crazy. Life is hard. Managing kids, a job, school, your home, and everything else is exhausting! At the end of the day what makes you the most happy? I venture to guess most of you will say your family.
Why do you work? - to provide for your family. Why do you sign your kids up for all those activities? - because you love your family, and you want them to be happy. Why do you go nuts keeping your home clean and organized and beautiful? - for your family. They are the center of our lives and the reason for everything we do. Their faces make you the happiest. Those kids will grow up, their voices will deepen, their speech will mature, and you'll wish you had held on just a little bit longer. I promise it's worth it to get those family portraits. Even if you don't hire me, ask someone to take pictures of your family. You'll never regret the pictures you have, but you will certainly regret what you missed.
I have a spot open for mini session THIS Saturday at 4:30. Let me know if you want to snag it.

Mr. C
I was fortunate enough to photograph his big sister a couple of years ago, and now here he is, and he's so perfect. When his mother saw these images for the first time she just kept saying, "He's so cute!!"
I really love the wide awake babies more and more. They are harder to photograph, but their sweet little faces and vibrant eyes captivate me. I just can't help wondering what they are thinking about. What is happening in their little newborn brains? They are so pure and so open to loving and being loved. You'll even see Mr. C. giving his dad a huge wide awake smile if you scroll down. Its' magical! Bring me all of the babies.
